My dodgeball journey started in 2018 when I joined the Winchester uni team and I’ve been playing dodgeball ever since! I’ve always been really competitive in most aspects of my life. This is something I’ve had to learn how to manage and harness, dodgeball has been a huge part of that self-development.
I have found that I am most competitive with myself, which can be challenging but is also a huge driving force. Being a part of Canterbury Crocodiles and now Wessex Wolves and having their support, advice and hype has been amazing. Not only have they pushed me to be better but also reminded me to be nice to myself when I don’t meet my own expectations. As well as being a dodgeball player, I’m also a teacher.
I currently teach year 6 and my class are my biggest fans. At their request, we watch all of Wessex’s dodgeball games together, which makes my day. No matter how exhausted my job makes me, being a teacher is something I’m very proud of and love doing. In the time I’m not doing dodgeball or teaching, I put many, many, many hours into playing video games, reading and listening to podcasts.
