I arrived at university having just quit athletics. I wanted a new sport but something less intense. I started dodgeball because it looked different and fun. I took to the sport immediately and within 2 years joined the England Development team (for cloth as there’s no foam in the UK at that point). That was 2010 and since then I’ve played for 4 clubs and changed as player almost as much as the game of dodgeball has changed. Some of my highlights from across the years, have been winning University Championships, making catches in my first Euros in the mixed final against Wales (which we won) and Captaining the Mixed Foam team at Worlds. One piece of advice from me – Blocking is a trap.
